iPad Air Sells 3 Million Tablets First Weekend On The Street

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has once again impressed its clients with the new iPad. The iPad Air, which has more updates than any model in the past history of the tablet, is lighter, thinner, and faster than ever before. These features, coupled with a beautiful display that is razor sharp, make the iPad Air a viable option for anyone seeking a high quality tablet.

iPad Mini On Hold
The Retina iPad Mini will be released later this month, and the price tag is a neat $399. The Mini has quickly become a big fav among Apple fans because of its compact 7.85 inch screen and affordable price tag. The Retina Mini will most likely be the best selling Mini model ever, but there have been hangups.

Sharp, which is Apple Inc.'s partner in the Retina display manufacturing, is having trouble making the LCD screens for the new Mini fast enough. The demand is going to be huge for this little pocketful of power, so Apple will need to ensure it has enough of them on hand prior to launch to avoid a shortage of supplies.

Big Holiday Season
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is set for a huge holiday season this year, with the iPad Mini priced at $299, the iPad Mini Retina will be sold for $399, and the iPad Air set at $499. These numbers have made the tablets attractive to an even broader audience than ever before. With upgrades, such as 4G radios that enable the Retina Mini and the iPad Air to get online without WiFi, available the iPad models are even more tempting to anyone wishing to acquire a high-powered tablet. Apple is set to have a sweet sales season indeed.
